The snow brought in several birds I normally don't see at my feeders.  On Christmas, there were tree sparrows, lots of fox sparrows, 11 rusty blackbirds and one female red-winged blackbird in addition to all the usual suspects.  The next day, there were a few rusty blackbirds, lots of red-winged blackbirds, and they brought their friends - the grackles, cowbirds and starlings (which we usually don't have and wish they would go away now).  Today there are no rusty blackbirds but all the others are still around.

We have also had all the woodpeckers, except red-headed, coming in in pretty good numbers and eating lots of suet cakes.

I hope everyone else is getting good snow birds!

I am also seeing a half dozen or so rusty blackbirds in with some redwings at the feeder.   Nice views!

The cold is really bringing out the birds today.  In addition to the typical feeder birds today there are a dozen American Tree Sparrows and I have seen as many as 9 fox sparrows at one time!  The rusty blackbirds are still hanging out also.
