Author and Wife in Alaska

I bought a new lens and I was tryiing it out on whatever bird might land in a tree near our porch.  It was a Junco, and normally they do not take really good pictures.  For some reason, I like these two pictures, and being very jealous of Charley's Pine Warbler and Loggerhead Shrike, I decided to post these.  I also went out Lookout Road to the Chadwick ATV campground, but I did not see any Pine Warblers in the pines.  Oh, and I threw in the thieving squirrel for good masure.  I would have added some great Short eared Owl pictures, but the owls out by Lockwood appear to have migrated.

Using the same old photographer worked really well with the new lens.  Awesome stuff.
