Once you have registered at the GOAS message board site at http://forums-greaterozarksaudubon.org/index.php , you will  probably want to receive everything that is posted there in your personal e-mail box.   That way you won’t have to keep going back to the message board website again and again.
Although this will take a few minutes to set up, you won’t have to worry about it ever again.   Here’s how to set up your email notification.

1.    There are 13 Topics under 5 Categories.   Our Categories are: 1) GOAS Chapter News, 2) Birds! 3) Conservation 4) Birding on the Web and 5) Questions about Message Boards/Forums.
2.    If you expand GOAS Chapter News by double clicking on the + tab, you will find topics.  The 4 topics are:  1)Chapter Announcements, 2) Field Trips, 3) Conservation and Outreach Activities, and 4) State and National Audubon News.
3.    Expanding “Birds” will get you to its Topics, and so on for each of the 5 Categories.
4.    Now to set up your email notification.     First, go to the topic Chapter Announcements under the Category GOAS Chapter News.   Along the right side of the Subject Bar you will see a tab that says “Notify”.  Click it.   You should get a message saying “Do you wish to enable notification of new topics on this board?”    Answer yes.       If the question that you are asked says “Do you wish to disable notification of new topics on this board?”  you are already set up for e-mail notification.
5.    Repeat the process described in #4 above for each of the remaining 12 Topics

The 13 Topics are:
1.    Chapter Announcements
2.    Field Trips
3.    Conservation and Outreach Activities
4.    State and National Audubon News
5.    Alert:  Nearby Rare or Unusual Birds
6.    Area Birds
7.    Questions about Birds
8.    Pictures
9.    Anything Else
10.    Ozarks Conservation Issues
11.    National and Global Conservation Issues
12.    Interesting Links and Blogs
13.    How Do I ……..?

I think this is all you have to do.  I have done this and am receiving every post on the message board.

Questions?  Let me know.

Thanks,
Greg
